The First Ledger
Sacred Mill, Nairobi
July 2025
20 seats
You will arrive not knowing most people in the room.
By the time the last glass is poured you will have exchanged numbers, argued about something interesting, laughed at something you didn't expect, and made at least one connection you will not forget.
That is the point.
This is not a wine tasting. It is not a networking event. It is not a dinner party in the conventional sense.
It is a long table. Twenty strangers. Extraordinary wine. Young Nairobi chefs cooking at the top of their ability.
And the best glasses I could find — Josephinenhütte crystal, because the wine deserves it and so do you.
The First Ledger centres on the debut release of Asis Vineyards.
A Darling Cinsault and a Polkadraai Hills Pinotage, both presented in 3 litre double magnum — the format that demands a table, demands company, demands exactly this kind of evening.
Alongside them, selections from my private cellar. Bottles from South Africa, from the UK, from corners of the wine world most Nairobi tables have never seen.
The full pour will only be revealed on the night.
One long table. One evening. Several courses. Many bottles.
No dress code beyond being yourself. No seating plan beyond curiosity.
You will be placed next to someone you have never met for a reason.
Every Asis supper club is a Ledger — a numbered gathering tied to a wine release, a moment in time, a specific room full of specific people.
The First Ledger will not happen again.
Future Ledgers will bring new wines, new chefs, new strangers who will become part of the same strange, excellent clan.
Members of the Asis circle get first access to every Ledger before seats are offered elsewhere.

This is not a public ticketing link. There is no queue. We are simply having a conversation about whether this is right for you and whether you are right for this.
The Josephinenhütte glasses used at every Ledger are available to members of the Asis circle. Ask us how.
